MCPF Penang extends its best wishes to YDH DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan bin Mydin Pitchay who retired on Sunday 26th July 2026 after nearly 35 years of stellar service with Polis Diraja Malaysia. He had announced the retirement date a few days prior to his retirement and immediately following the launch of his biography “From Pedang to Bukit Aman: The Integrity Journey of Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay in Kuala Lumpur. MCPF Penang congratulates and welcomes the new Acting Deputy Inspector-General of Police YDH CP Datuk Seri Ibrahim Darus who will be continuing as the Director of Special Branch, Bukit Aman. The handing over of duties document ceremony was carried out on Sunday 26th July 2026 at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol, Kuala Lumpur) witnessed by the Inspector-General of Police YDH IG Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail. Per MCPF Constitution Article 8: Provisions Relating to Executive Council Para (a) “The Patron shall have the prerogative of having to appoint a Chairman of the Foundation and such person to be appointed as a Chairman shall be holding office as a Minister. The Inspector-General of Police shall be appointed as the ex-officio Deputy Chairman and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police shall assume the duty and function as the Deputy Chairman during the absence of the Inspector-General of Police.
