MCPF Penang warmly welcomed the newly appointed Chief Police Officer for Penang State YDH CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar bin Rajab in a dinner organized by MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee at Hotel Equatorial Penang on the evening of Monday March 7th 2016.
The Organizing Chairman of this event Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy stressed in his short opening speech that the occasion marks the ongoing close rapport and working relationship between MCPF Penang and Royal Malaysia Police, Penang contingent. MCPF Penang Chairman YBhg Dato’ Syed Jaafar Syed Ali warmly welcomed YDH CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar bin Rajab to his new position as the No.1 COP of the Pearl of the Orient. Three key appointments were made during the event. 1) YDH CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar bin Rajab as MCPF Penang Advisor; 2. Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy as MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I) and 3) YDH SAC Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, Royal Malaysia Police, Penang as MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (II). Additionally, the new CPO, his Head of Departments and OCPDs in attendance were given a short briefing on MCPF Penang key Programs and Events for 2015.
